2 cups cheddar or German butter cheese
1/8 cup sweet butter
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. dill
1 tsp. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
2 Tbsp. chives, chopped


Combine cheese and butter. Mix very well. Add to the mixture chives, paprika, caraway seeds and dill. Mix well again. Serve with hard breads, flat breads, fresh or staled pumpernickel. Salt surface if desired.
